PRE-PRODUCTION
This stage involves all the planning and preparation before actual filming begins. Tasks include scriptwriting, casting, location scouting, securing permits, creating storyboards, designing sets and costumes, and finalizing the budget and schedule. Pre-production sets the foundation for the entire production process and ensures that everything is in place for a smooth shoot.
PRODUCTION
This stage involves the actual filming of scenes according to the script and production plan. It includes capturing performances from actors, directing camera movements and angles, recording sound, and coordinating technical aspects such as lighting and special effects. The director and cinematographer play key roles in bringing the script to life during the production stage.
POST-PRODUCTION
After filming wraps, the post-production stage begins. This involves editing the footage to create a cohesive narrative, adding visual and sound effects, composing the musical score, and fine-tuning color grading and sound mixing. Post-production is where the raw footage is transformed into the final product ready for distribution. It requires collaboration between editors, visual effects artists, sound designers, and composers to bring the director's vision to fruition.
